Avo's company sick leave policy outlines the company’s provisions for full time employees, who become sick and need to be absent from work.
Avo follows general guidelines that applies to sick pay. In case of absence from work due to sickness or accidents, team members are entitled to sick pay as follows:

Employees who want to attend to routine healthcare (e.g. doctor’s/dentist’s appointments) can shift their working hours accordingly.
We let each other know on our #wave channel when we’re out for any reason. You should at mention people who might depend on you for something time sensitive and need to make arrangements.
If you expect this to be longer than a day you should include that informationn or report daily for every day of sick leave.
For extended leave Avo may request that the you provide a medical certificate, should the absence last longer than 5 calendar days.
Avo handles all sick time requests with discretion.
We kindly ask for you to log your sick days (due to feeling ill yourself or taking care of your child) onto your vacay and sick days spreadsheet. That way we can a) make sure you use the days that you are entitled to, and b) understand macro trends concerning sick days, summer leave and other vacation 🌴🤒
